Fuelling through a long run on the North Shore trails or grinding out the final kilometres of a marathon is hard enough without your nutrition turning on you. Maurten Addition is a palate reset designed to help athletes stay committed to their fuelling plan when flavour fatigue starts to creep in. Whether you're deep into a long training block or racing through the streets of Vancouver, repeated consumption of the same carbohydrate fuel, even one with a neutral flavour profile, can lead to a loss of motivation to fuel, a sickly or nauseous sensation, and a desensitized sense of taste. The result is reduced fuelling and an energy deficit at exactly the wrong moment.
Maurten Addition solves that by giving you the option to vary the taste of Drink Mix 320, Drink Mix 160, or Gel Mix 480 without impacting the function of Hydrogel Technology. It's not a flavour product, it's a performance tool. Taste is personal, and any fuelling strategy should be as unique as the athlete following it. Additions let you apply a palate reset on your own terms, where and when you need it, so you can stay on plan, stay fuelled, and keep moving forward. This is calculated fuelling.
